You clearly don't understand the concept of harm reduction
i know it's difficult for most democrats to pay attention beyond the propaganda cloud, but try to open your eyes and see the news articles confirming that that the last administration didn't even bother to ask or even pressure netanyahu to stop the genocide.
You really think you're the smart one in every room you're in dont you?
it doesn't take any kind of smarts to read an article from a respected news source that confirms that the last administration was not at all interested in "harm reduction" for the gazan genocide.
Those who abstained from voting and helped Trump get elected have done far more harm to the people in Gaza than those who voted Democrat. That's the harm reduction aspect you're missing. No one is saying the Democratic party's stance on Gaza is good
read the articles and you'll see that the evidence says the exact opposite: the last administration didn't bother with harm reduction at all while the the current one actually managed to pause it for a couple a weeks and isn't automatically caving into netanyahu's demands
And there it is. You wanted the fascist to get elected.
This isn't about Gaza. We all know that the situation in Gaza is fucked, and the Biden administration wasn't friendly to Gaza. I was pissed as hell at their response. But that doesn't mean bringing fascism home to the U.S. is the solution.
the facism was always here; it merely had a mask that is now being torn off.
No it wasn't. That's delusional. We've been slow walking toward fascism for a while, but it wasn't just always there.
tell that the black panthers after they were bombed by the police; or the brown americans who were born and raised in the united states, but still forcibly moved to mexico during the zoot suit riots and the depression; or the queer people who were arrested, imprisoned, fined, and livelihoods ruined until they fought back at the stonewall inn; or the tuskegee airmen or the navajo that were sterilzed and had medical experiments conducted upon them without their will, simply because they weren't american enough; or black wall street in tulsa that was literally shot and bombed at like the gazans are right now.
there are SO MANY examples of american facism that you have to be willfully ignorant of them to believe that americans aren't fascist; either that or be your garden variety american voter.
I'm not even gonna address your points. We are all frustrated with the state of the U.S.
My point was just that the Trump administration is not better than the alternative. We can all agree on that. If you can't or won't admit that, then you're part of the problem.
agreed, this administration is not any better than the last one.
the problem is the automatic and unquestioning assumption that the last administration was better despite the large body of evidence (by even american institutions) stating the opposite.
The last administration didnt try to gut NSF science funding, nasa, our Healthcare, social security, or any of the other dumb crap in the reconciliation bill just passed. If you seriously think the Biden administration was bad, you didnt pay attention. My job, my colleagues jobs are on the line, my partner might lose all funding for her job, my friends are losing their jobs, PBS and NPR facing funding cuts. My grandfather, my uncle, my step father, all potentially losing their disability, social security, etc. People trying to strip us of citizenship, this shit is not normal. The fact that you are trying to equate the two administration's is fucking disingenuous as fuck.
This country normally strips Americans of citizenship every few decades; most recently in the zoot suit riots where my own family members were forced to live out their lives in Mexico despite being born and raised in the United States.
The equal rights amendment could have helped people like your grandfather, Uncle and step father maintain their support and Biden did next to nothing to make it a reality.
But that's just the brown and disabled people of the United States and the global South whose lives are being fucked over or ended, but sure, you and your colleagues jobs are more important.
the previous and current administration only differ in uncouthness.
Why are you bringing up things that happened over 80 years ago? We need to focus on what's happening now... Jesus, you are a seriously disingenuous mother fucker.
You are part of the problem.
Correct, Biden admin did nothing to mitigate and Harris promised nothing would change under her administration. Truth hurts.
Literally everyone knows that.
Harm reduction was about making sure it didn't get even worse with Trump in charge.
And here we are.
Respectfully, may I ask what the end game of "harm reduction" is? Isn't it just kicking the can down the road?
.ml user says other people find it difficult to look past propaganda lmao
Where are they wrong?

There's a HUGE body of evidence that proves Americans are the most propagandized people on the planet and this response, willfully ignoring the facts, is both telling and indicative of this country's future.
continues to completely miss the main point of the comment.
yes you did; there was literally zero attempt at "harm reduction"
You are right, I heard Kamala was planning to implement project 2025 if dumpy didn't. /s
her administration literally didn't even bother to secure the equal rights amendment; which would have nullified much of project 2025.
also a huge majority of project 2025 has been enacted since 1981.
If you cannot accept that LESS people would have suffered if the dems won, I cannot help ya.
Morons cannot be helped unfortunately
saying this makes it clear that you value american comfort over a genocide.
Saying that makes it clear you have no intention of having a good faith, nuanced discussion of politics.
Get blocked.
welcome to club. lol
Except for the fact that we have every evidence that Trump is worse for everyone including gazans, you fucking dolt
When did Democrats have a supermajority in both the House and the Senate?
Do you ever wonder why it takes a single parliamentarian or congressman to derail all Democratic state welfare initiatives like national healthcare while the Republicans steamrolled over dozens of Republicans and parliamentarians who tried to stop this most recent bill?
If you ever bother to educate yourself, you'll come to understand that the democrats had the option of making the filibuster super majority proof when Biden was the president and Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, but chose not to even when their own bill was in jeopardy.
Please wake up.
