They want to pay money in exchange for software. Has this concept been lost to time? Am I really that old?
Ok imagine you are in a store and on the shelf you see this box
You buy it and install it on your computer. It doesn't have ads because you already gave them money at the store when you bought it.
This part in particular. Also I'm old enough to have grown up when computers weren't common at all. I'm familiar with paying for software. I'm honestly not sure why you are responding this way when the text literally suggests adding ads.
