The 10k thing was for advertising and wasn't based in any research. Kinda like the 3k mile oil change.
10k isn’t bad for you. What they doing selling steps.
I would change my own oil at 3k. Better for a longer engine life, even if we can go to 6k or 10k it’s all about care of the engine. If I own it I’m looking after it.
