the only reason they took hostages is because Israel has over a thousand civilians in jail (including children), they never had a trial, and even in death their bodies aren't released and were cases where even the Knesset admitted they stole palestian prisoner's organs, and they are malnourished, tortured and raped.

You don't need to recognise the entity you are declaring war against as a state to do so. Cameroon declared war against Ambazonia (separatist group) on 4th December 2017.
