[–] kristina@hexbear.net 40 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It's fucked up that Georgia wasn't Georgia here

[–] reaper_cushions@hexbear.net 9 points 11 months ago

Yeah, out of all states to make Georgia, they chose Tajikistan.

Dont forget the crippling shock therapy. America is already a capitalist shithole but I'm sure its public sector can be dismantled further.

Finally, a unique and strange American Balkanization map

[–] Shinhoshi@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 11 months ago

broke: south korea

Fort Worth still has to be the gateway to the West so anything east of that has to be… Plain Old West Korea? Maybe POW Korea for short?

The first Michigan-on-Michigan war will be interesting. We'll get to finally see why bridge maps are bullshit.

[–] polskilumalo@lemmygrad.ml 19 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The grey text unfortunately is filled with brainworms. But Calikraine is fucking funny ngl.

The grey text unfortunately is filled with brainworms.

Yeah just noticed that. "Moscow, which was an imperial capital..." - oh you fuckers get out with your damn projection.

Also which part of Calicraine is American Crimea? Can't be Hawaii, can it? The lease of Pearlharborstopol won't expire anytime soon!

[–] Shinhoshi@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 11 months ago

Yeah, it’s Hawaii, that’s why it’s only listed as supposedly part of this “state” without showing it

[–] regul@hexbear.net 18 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Lmao Washington would be so pissed. Get fucked.

[–] Shinhoshi@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The state with Seattle or the metropolitan area with the Washington Football Team?

[–] regul@hexbear.net 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)
[–] Shinhoshi@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 11 months ago

I thought so too but the grey text made it seem like it could be DC 🤷

Funny enough, I wrote the beginning of a novel where China does something like this and ushers in this wave of stateless societies such that there's like 16 entities that are still identified as states. 2 of which being America (edit: 3 actually, the east tried to invade the west by marching through a Mad Max style Texas and gets thwarted by raiders), 1 being China, another being Cuba's coalition. The main protagonist has no mind for politics, so I don't have to explain why it happened.

[–] Ocommie63@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

That’s awesome do you know when the novel is coming out

[–] WhatDoYouMeanPodcast@hexbear.net 3 points 11 months ago

It will be a long time, on the order of two years+, as I'm near the end stages of a draft for a different novel I intend to take all the way. But pickitit back up would be the next literary venture

Calikraine

Wait, is this why American rightoids back Russia in Ukraine?

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 4 points 11 months ago

Sort of. They seem to more or less agree with the Russian stance that the EU is a vehicle for western gender wokism.

[–] micnd90@hexbear.net 7 points 11 months ago

The absolute disrespect to Colorado, we're not a Federation state and would've broke out, we don't want to be in the same country as Kansas

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

New York would probably break up with Upstate and Downstate being their own region

[–] Philosoraptor@hexbear.net 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yeah there's no universe in which New York City just stays with Kansas and Nebraska if something like this happens. An independent city-state seems a lot more likely to me.

[–] john_browns_beard@hexbear.net 1 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

My headcanon is that pretty much everything north and east of Philadelphia becomes its own state. At the very least it would have to encompass everything near and between the Boston and NYC metro areas.

[–] LocalMaxima@hexbear.net 6 points 11 months ago

Texas should be Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 Lone Sun with Bird State

[–] WIIHAPPYFEW@hexbear.net 6 points 11 months ago

[–] ZapataCadabra@hexbear.net 3 points 11 months ago

Not making Georgia the Georgia of this map? C'mon.

[–] ZapataCadabra@hexbear.net 2 points 11 months ago

Neither country ever recovered from the Cano-Americaviet split.
