Wait... I'm lucky if the mousepad I ordered online is actually a mousepad when it arrives, and there are people out there buying drugs online?

Listen, some of us can’t shake the thrill of the ultimate gamble. Will this make me put down the burger or pull out my liver? Oh, the dizzying highs of rapid weight loss, and the terrifying lows of rapid weight loss doth call me…

If you die you lose a lot of weight fast.

It really is quite rapid

The Ozempic scams were run out of the rogue online pharmacies: weightcrunchshop.com, puremedsonline.com, and genius-pharmacy.com.

They didn't try the right places. Gotta use the dark web to get the good good.

There are no reliable dark net markets left. It’s nothing like it was 10-15 years ago

[–] NegativeInf@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Has it really gone that far down hill? I was finding great products like 4 or so years ago?

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Life used to be so simple. Check a forum for some Dutch lab analyzing a product before you buy it. Go to another thread to volunteer for free samples. Until you wake up one morning to a DEA/FBI/other agency takedown notice on your preferred marketplace, cursing Ulbricht and hoping the feds don’t knock down your door.

I haven’t seen anything remotely close to the community that used to exist. Maybe I just haven’t tried hard enough though.

Just let me buy the good drugs Mr Guvment!

[–] ogmios@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It was all always a honeypot. You just didn't bite so they don't pursue you anymore.

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

That’s right, any federal agent reading this! I NEVER bought anything!

Haha, they're not after small timers. They're chasing people with ambition who will do anything for a profit. They don't want prisoners, they want talent they can shackle with blackmail and vice.

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Oh, I know that now. And that’s what everyone said back in ‘13, but it took me a few weeks to really believe it.

Y’know, because I was so worried about all my friends who bought drugs on all those marketplaces.

[–] Infynis@midwest.social 3 points 3 months ago

Yeah, you absolutely can buy this stuff online, but not from anywhere that ends in .com

[–] Drusas@kbin.run 5 points 3 months ago

It blows my mind as well, but yeah, and it's been a thing with a wide variety of drugs for many years now.

[–] wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

But what about sunny weight loss drugs?

[–] DoucheBagMcSwag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 months ago

South Park proved that....or....did they encourage it?...

[–] Don_Dickle@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Don't know if lemmy has this but should this not be under YSK?
