IDK, I think he's got a good point. Why would you be calling your boss from inside a burning building instead of say, calling 911 or helping coworkers or stealing cool stuff?

Seriously who would call the CEO first? The worker is not in the wrong because he was probably panicking, but Elon is not going to be the guy to get you the immediate help you need. Regardless of that fact, I'm sure Elon could've done something and the steps he took afterwards really dictate his character in this situation. smh everyone sucks here.

Someone who works with a temperamental manchild who might fire you for calling 911 first

The more I read the more I'm convinced he's a 13 year old in a 45 year old billionaire's body.

That's even more embarrassing how he tries to be a hip cool meme lord on twitter.

A 13 year old would probably at least call the fire department

I randomly met someone that worked for Tesla during a happy hour social thing. They were in some production safety role. They had just been dealing with something like this and were venting about it. I made a joke about how they were 'literally putting out fires' because some rack of lithium battery had been mishandled so badly that thermal runaway kicked off into a blaze. They just kept mentioning how this was not supposed to happen if safety protocols were being followed.

Reminded me a bit of a summer job I had a long time ago working for a fast food place that was very chaotic and mismanaged.
