Why shouldn't we just privatize weather warnings so you have to pay $40 bucks a month to even see a radar map, let alone get a tornado warning just before the newly classified F-6 tornado is currently eating your town.
Because, and you'll like this, the real reason weather reporting exists is it's commercial uses. Companies need this Intel to function. Farmers especially.
So what you're saying is, these entities are dependent on that data? Sounds like a ~~captive~~ lucrative, untapped market to me.
