This is definitely a time I will 100% gladly gatekeep anime. If gen "AI" is used I will 100% say anyone "working" on it isn't part of that industry and is nothing but a pathetic loser not worthy of a job in any real anime company.

Similar sentiments to short form anime. Also towards people who watch either.

I'll stick with what I'll be calling real anime if that future becomes the new normal.

Old man screaming at the cloud in the sky and in the server.

If I got new speakers, better quality ones than the ones for my old RCA thing or the ones in my Bria radio CD player thing, or even my beats headphones, I'd have a hard time choosing an album. Would probably go with whatever I'm in love with at the moment. Currently that's a 3 way tie between R.E.M.'s Out of Time, Alice in Chains Jar of Flies, and New Radicals Maybe You've Been Brainwashed. Would struggle to lick between those 3.

As for individual songs, I got a couple I'm currently absolutely in love with that I'd love to play on very high quality speakers:

Deafening - The Nixon Rodeo ( emotionally hard rock, at least I think so )

OR

Someday We'll Know - New Radicals ( for some reason this just became my absolute favorite New Radicals song immediately after hearing it once on CD )

From what I've heard, it's nothing but over glorified TTS that strips all form of actual emotion in the voice of whoever is speaking.

With the way my lifestyle is going, I sometimes get so much that I can't help but need social time to break up my alone time. One of the biggest reasons I love the club I'm in at community college.

Did COVID make dumb people even dumber?

No, they were always that dumb. They probably just projected themselves onto Superman because he's a strong white man and clearly strong white people cannot be illegal immigrants because that breaks their pathetic little power trip fantasy.

That is what I assume they did when they last had to put in a tube in my ear. At least for the numbing agent, even though I'm fairly certain they didn't.

At this point, trading card collecting and grading. Oh, a new series of trading cards for pokemon or yu-gi-oh or whatever dropped? Time for all the adults to buy out every single card in the store and then run home in hopes that their scam leaders like PSA will encourage their behavior by gracing them with a card they claim is worth money despite only being out for less than a week.

Card grading ain't nothing but a scam, cult, and great way to encourage the worst in people, while simultaneously gatekeeping trading cards from everyone with more than 2 braincells. Ain't nothing gonna change my mind about it.

As someone who hates insects because they creep me out, this looks like the perfect place to rest out any new flamethrower designs that need to be tested.

I recently found out about that show, assuming we're talking about the same Australian children's supernatural comedy, and although some of the jokes don't land on me as an adult, I am actually really enjoying it. A few episodes into season 1 and I could see kid me absolutely loving it.

Though, if we're talking a different show, I'm SOL.

Although I definitely agree that the vast majority of parents definitely shouldn't homeschool, I know of a single case where it went alright. Though they're definitely outliers in the equation.

Just based on the article headline alone, if it's anywhere near as bad as the headline, you know those kids are gonna get into the real world and already be leagues behind everyone else. They're gonna eventually "write" a letter to their dad about how much they hate him for what he did, but the dad isn't gonna know whether it's AI generated or written by their own kid. The kids are gonna be so incapable of doing everything themselves and so reliant on AI that they can't even think for themselves and use an AI whenever a simple question comes up. Even just basic "what's your name?" type stuff.

I hope I'm wrong and the parent is actually gonna intervene and help the kids learn that AI is a hallucinatory nightmare that is more wrong than right in many real world scenarios and applications. I hope the parent isn't just letting them learn literally everything from the AI and enforcing the belief that the AI is more competent and knowledgeable than a professional in a specific field of study.
