Haha. Not to mention the sound carries, so they'd probably spend ages creeped out by the distant screech of a horrifying predator before discovering it's from a tiny ball of feathers.

I’ve always wanted to seen one of these in the wild and I finally did!

The owl was standing still, swiveling its head back and forth. It was still there over an hour later on the way back.

Reposting since I don't think the first one went through (sorry for the spam if it did)

 

Tl;dr: The Mount Lyell shrew, which was discovered 100+ years ago, finally had its picture taken
