Love this group so much, just incredible shredding solos and just enough of a technical flair to compliment the brutality without watering it down in the slightest. So much fun with this album in general, check out the track before this one too, absolutely shreds, the drummer here is perfectly complimenting everything done by the guitarist, it's sick.

Yeah, they don't ever really quite perfectly land the "squishy" parts of aesthetics and appeal quite as well some bands do, I think they lean into the more boring elements of Sludge's aesthetic too much for that.

Who needs to brush your teeth anyways? I'm sure this Woodford Reserve will keep my mouth disinfected .

Good, clean slayer-worship as Satan intended.

I'm skeptical of trying to put myself on too much of a pedestal for what things I choose to consume, but I do feel with some conviction that I am 100% making the correct choice but trying to only minimally connect with social media for any kind of reason. With full awareness of just how snobby I sound saying this, I see the shit my co-workers and friends talk about from TikTok and instagram etc, and I'm just thinking the entire time "this is not that funny, or interesting" It always feel the anthropomorphized equivalent of a dog's chew toy. " Anyways, enough verbally fellating myself, if avoiding social media is making you feel better and less anxious then stay away from it, but if it's not really working and it's just making you feel isolated from your peers then maybe indulge at least a little. Stay conscious of your usage and don't let it eat into your psyche, but you don't always have to consume the "Best" media at all times, it's okay to eat some junk food from time to time.

Yeah, there is a certain datedness to the movie that goes beyond the actual time and space the movie takes place in and the special effects. Something about the dialogue, and the casting, and overall tone is just so diagnostic of pre-MCU superhero movies. There's been a bit of a trend to try and recapture some of that camp from the studios lately, but they haven't really committed to it.

Love to see more Tampa rep in here, particularly for one of the coolest albums to ever come out of the city (and that's saying a LOT). The only band to really seamlessly capture that sci-fi atmosphere as well for me is Vektor who are CLEARLY inspired by this album (it's not subtle).

"Accusations that I am a spy are tainted with anti-semitism". To this day I'm really shocked that it just works for everything. Get accused of literally anything and just say "anti-semitism" and the interviewer will just nod as if that isn't a non-sequitur.

Let me get the obligatory "But I love them all I couldn't pick just one!" out of the way. In all truth though, it's gotta be Reign in Blood for me. I know it's basic bitch answer, but come the fuck on man going from Postmortem into Rain in Blood never fail to make me feel so fucking pumped.
