If you care so little about the performance of the 2 major parties of the US electoral system, why did you even bother to post the original article?

I'm voting Democratic all the way down the ticket this year and I will say all day that Biden needs to cut the crap with his support for Israel (while also mentioning Trump has been accused of illegally contacting Israel to sabotage the ceasefire deals). Lots of people I know share this exact opinion. Your argument is a strawman.

You can't predict the weather. Saying for sure that the election is going to go in any particular direction in a public forum is highly irresponsible. Just because you don't want to take an election seriously doesn't mean no one should.

I think actively trolling people by arguing in bad faith or through astroturfing like this is definitely poisoning the community. It shouldn't be tolerated for tolerances' sake. And I'm not saying to just ban people you don't agree with. I'm saying people who obviously just post to poke the bear, so to speak, should face discipline for trying to turn Lemmy toxic.
