how have you been getting over rust's learning curve? I've tried to get into it quite a few times, going thru the book and other docs, even doing rustlings and something always trips me up. It seems like a fun language too so if you have any tips or feedback that have helped you become better at it I'd be grateful
rainy
cool project. it's super cool that u can run modern distros on smth like a pentium 4 lol... windows could never
it's cool to see people on the Fedora Atomic train, I really think it's a great set of distros for beginners and people that want "just works" systems
hi I think I might have some input on this
I got a left-handed mouse on amazon pretty recently (it's just some no-name brand but it works) and I quite like it. it's one of the raised ergonomic type ones that doesn't twist your wrist. very comfy to hold I recommend
holy balls this looks good. I might give it a shot as I'm on hyprland rn. what are your thoughts on cosmic anyhow? I've yet to touch it
nixos and hyprland <3
yeah, that's kinda where I'm at with it too, I don't think people should be immediately banished because they chose to put say windows 7 on an old thinkpad instead of linux and take a pic with that
I do think it's a tad pedantic to enforce a *nix OSs only sort of rule, I think the general interest for tech/computers should be on display period, and trying to draw lines on how that can be shown based on the OS of all things does feel a bit off. It is not in everyone's best interest or desire to run a Unix-based OS and I don't think that should immediately bar people from posting here.
Now I am certainly new here and I'm sure people will disagree with me but this is just my 2 cents
thx! if you're referring to the corsair, those are actually media keys in the top right :p I'm getting a keychron v1 w a knob for xmas tho, pretty excited for that
one of my teachers in HS had a variation of this on his classroom wall, the chimp always looked so chill
thankies!! :3
that's some nice insight, thank you. I think I need to think of a project that isn't like web related, I had done some webserver stuff in rust before but it didn't help me learn much (rust is kinda a mixed bag for web dev anyway, at least server side) but I'll try to think of smth in due time
