This comment section just demonstrates that lemmy may have a disproportionately large number of neuro diverse individuals who cannot understand a hypothetical situation for the purpose of a joke.

No, we all understand it's supposed to be a joke. But just like racist jokes or holocaust jokes, we recognize it as tasteless, out of touch, ignorant, and immoral.
You are the only one here who doesn't "understand".
This joke is in the uncanny valley.
Well, you don't abandon an established watering hole (Reddit) you poured your soul in over the years for ideological differences or for inconveniencing you by killing your favourite client if you are typical - hell you'd only be using the official client to begin with.
But the stick feels good up there.
