Went to one of the towns and bought new armor for my wizard, a gardcorp. Trying to level up to buy my first spell, but ofc this is a kmmorpg so there's a grind.

If it's controlled then it isn't chaos is it?

Through my years of mmo and rpg gaming I've tended to swing between the two extremes of the warrior/wizard dynamic.

Some days I just want to be a dumb tank in full armor soaking up hits and acting as a wall for squishier classes. But then there's days where I love being a glass cannon that can kill something in 1-2 nukes but a strong breeze can kill me.

The least fun I've head with a class was as a healer druid in Everquest. Something so stressful about the party relying on you for heals and if you wipe it's generally your fault. idk how people dedicate themselves to a class like that.

It's on a private server, Fragments of Temuair.

I remember my cousin having this game on a demo from I think PC Gamer magazine? But since it was a free account you couldn't do anything.

The retail server is p2p so forget that. I'm the only person logged on this dead game.

Feels nice to be able to play it again

FerrumC, similar to Pumpkin, which I recently posted today, is yet another Minecraft server built in Rust that released a month ago. Funny that there's already an inside joke regarding new Rust Minecraft servers being released close to the pace of JavaScript frameworks.

I've been playing GTA Online again after a couple of years away and the game chat is absolutely brimming with casual Russophobia. GTA Online has always been a giant trash fire due to the toxic nature of the game and the fact that the vast majority of its players are children and maladjusted adults, but it's interesting to notice how hostile Europeans have become to Russian players, randomly calling them orcs or animals and asking them why they haven't been sent to die in Ukraine yet.

Of course, because everyone playing the game is an asshole, most of the Russian comebacks are snide remarks about Europe having a lot of African immigrants, but it's almost always NATO-brained Westerners picking fights with players with Russian names and not the other way around.

I'm sure the situation is very similar in most other multiplayer games, but to me it's interesting how Russians have taken the place Chinese players used to hold in GTA some years back before they were region-locked into their own servers as otherised enemies whom you vomit random talking points you picked up on the news at
