For those of you who don't care, I promise this is the last post about this. All further discussion can be relegated to the matrix space.

Matrix Space: https://matrix.to/#/!tyfTFjggYNboCPZPKo:envs.net?via=envs.net

The main base isn't anything special, at least for now, but it's enough to protect from the main planet's frequent boiling storms. If any comrades need to be picked up, you can use the S.O.S. channel in the matrix space. All four stars are yellow, so no special hyperdrives are required to traverse the whole federation.

Feel free to join us! No other planets except the main one in System Alpha have been discovered, so feel free to name them how you wish, and build small outposts, huge bases, or anything in between! I can't wait to meet all of you in our marxist-leninist space commune!

Me and @WithoutFurtherRelay@hexbear.net have been talking about running a Hexbear SS13 server for a bit and we just now got it in a working state for testing.

Around 4 PM US EST / 7 PM UTC I'll edit this post with the IP address so anyone who wants to play can join. It's okay if you haven't played before.

All you need to play is the BYOND client from here:

https://www.byond.com/

Come join us in running/blowing up our space station!

There may be a few technical problems we haven't foreseen yet but we'll deal with them if it happens.

Here is our Discord discussion group if you're interested:

https://discord.gg/Qcy6enC2h5

We are gonna replace it with something more secure and private sometime. Didn't we have a Matrix server once?

It's a game of such depth and scope that I always have questions about it. I know magic radius is mostly Men/Int threshhold plus terrain you're standing on, have not experimented to findout which terrain stats (the ground has stats) affect it.

But also, who should wear what armour? Since luct.tacticsogre.com only says that 'if its not a warrior class you may not want full body armour', well wtf? Should archers wear Balder robes? Should ninjas? Valkyries???? Fucked if I know.

Also I can't really figure out how to raise(or lower) Loyalty reliably. Leveling up your guys in real battles is meant to do it, but my knight Isetan keeps spamming the "I dont have the confidence to follow u........" message that displays at 5 Loyalty, every battle. That means his Loyalty is going up and then down every battle, why? What affects that? Also the game has crashed on the Disaffection message a few times so that's unhelpful.

Friendly fire is really unpredictable, is it literally RNG? Sometimes it seems like archers or hawk men will make really tight shots past several allies densely packed, and sometimes it seems like they should cleanly arc their arrows over one buddy but thwap 70 damage. Is it height related??

Why are the Tactics Ogre soundtracks not stored as Compact Disc Digital Audio? Like 99% of Playstation games have CDDA you can rip, but Tactics Ogre (on both PS1 and Saturn) seems to play its music in realtime with low-sampling-rate PCM samples, a la the Past tracks in Sonic CD. Literally why.

You're all gonna have to tolerate this Ogre posting until I find somewhere or someone to talk about TO with. Also if anyone has the Prima guide for the Playstation game please hit me up, cannot find a scan ❤

I remember reading about this game heralding a new era where you could "play the news" (a hilarious phrase that has been rattling around in my head for over a decade now). I think I booted it up once and clicked around for fifteen minutes way back when. Anyway it's associated with a deeply embarrassing memory from college when I saw my friend Hichem standing in the main hall at a Palestinian students' group poster board, and encouraged him to play this game "because it really lets you understand both sides" clueless

Wow, I can't believe Dark Void didn't just fly off the shelves.

Capcom was probably the worst offender, but Hudson made Bomberman dark, gritty and shitty with Act Zero and Namco made Ace Combat: Assault Horizon with QTEs and a NATO bootlicking plot, and gave Ridge Racer to FlatOut developers Bugbear to turn into a Burnout ripoff with Unbounded. Many such cases!

I've never touched a more broken piece of shit. Bought the game for my kid's birthday because he wanted Little Big Planet. We just got to the first hub world and I've already encountered multiple gamebreaking bugs. If you want to do co-op, the game will infinitely load if you do the first level with more than 1 player. The save data is constantly corrupting. There are multiple parts of said first hub world where you can get stuck and have to do a hard restart of the level. I can't believe I never heard anything about this game being a broken piece of shit when it released

I've always liked "Audrey" the design of piranha plants and when people were like "WTF why did they add THAT to Smash of all things?" I was like

"Hell yeah"

“Once I reopen the book on Stardew, I always have a hard time closing it again because I always want to add more things, make it better, make it cooler, make people happy,” Barone said. “It's exciting. Every single thing I'm adding, I'm thinking about how people are going to play this and talk about it and love it. It's gonna be part of their experience. It could make a memory that they might cherish forever. That's a special thing. It's hard for me to not want to do that.”

I remember playing about half of DA: Origins before it began taking over my life so I had to stop. DA2 apparently sucked. This one got a lot of critical praise when it came out and people seemed to like it at the time but I haven't heard a peep about it since then. Worth playing? Did it stand the test of time or get washed out?
