Given that I'm really enjoying FFXI I was wondering about other games ported from PS2 to PC. A few I know of (need mods to make them good) are MGS2+3 (HD plus GOG release) Onimusha 1 + 3, DMC HD Collection, Biohazard 4, FFX+X-2, FFXII, Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper, Silent Hill 2,3,4.

Bonus points if it's on gog since I don't have steam and it's easier to pirate off gog.

Currently playing on a private server CatseyeXI that offers different game modes for players. There's the classic wings mode (which I'm trying out) that's the 75 level cap era grind of the first four expansions of XI. There's accelerated catseye which mimics retail allowing you to have double exp, faster skill gains, and the use of npc trusts so you can solo. Then there's the hardcore crystal warrior mode, which is self found only and you can only party up with other crystals, and I believe when you die you go back to level one.

Curious if anyone would want to play. I'm mostly on during daytime est into early afternoon if that's good for you. I could do nights too but only up to about 11 pm since I try to keep a sleep schedule.

As someone who was into paranormal stuff when I was young and who used to watch way too much ghost hunting TV slop, "ghost hunting simulation but ghosts are actually real" is a great concept. From the jump you know you're dealing with a violent supernatural monster that WILL kill you and you're basically on a timer to find out which one it is using a simple process of elimination before you all die. I get that it's a game so you need Things To Happen but I would probably enjoy a slower, more methodical game that more closely emulated a paranormal investigation. Like you show up to a house and have a list of the paranormal activity that's been reported in specific rooms, then you go and set up your equipment to try to document it for yourself.

There definitely should be a threat of physical harm but IMO it should be less overbearing. Investigators being killed on the job being a completely regular and expected occurrence feels a bit absurd
