Hey all!

We are happy to announce the grand opening of our first Official /c/dnd Networked Communities!

Some of you may have already noticed the links in the sidebar as they have been soft launched for a few days to set up their rules and welcome posts.

DnD - Art

  • A community for Dungeons and Dragons Art posts, both OC and linked content of other artists both official and unofficial.

DM Academy

  • A community for discussion, questions, tools, or advice regarding being a Dungeon Master (or Game Master) for Dungeons and Dragons or RPG’s in general

DnD - Homebrew

created by @owenfromcanada@lemmy.world and officially brought into our network

  • A community to share and workshop your DnD homebrew. Feats, classes, subclasses, races, items, pretty much everything is welcome.

DnD - Memes

  • A community for Dungeons and Dragons Memes and Comics

DnD - AI

  • A community for the discussion of the use of Artificial Intelligence when playing Dungeons and Dragons.

DnD - Looking for Group

  • A community for those looking for a group to play DnD with.

The reason for networking these communities together is that we can keep them in the same general style, have the same rules, and coordinated moderation across each community.

Please read the sidebar of each individual community! As always we will keep allowing regular posting here at DnD and will be guiding users in the comments to where their post may be a better fit.

We will be adding additional communities as needed and if any users have ideas for communities let us know.

There's also a lemmy instance TTRPG.network, as well as an instance dedicated to Pathfinder and Starfinder pathfinder.social

[-] Xathonn@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah it's weird the made other stuff not on that. Just gonna stick to the official ones on ttrpg.network

[-] ReadyUser31@lemmy.world -1 points 1 year ago

"Official"?

[-] dumples@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago

Seems odd to not have these on the TTRPG.network. A single use instance will be more convenient instead of coming to lemmy.world

[-] plethora@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I believe !dnd on Lemmy.world existed prior to ttrpg.network. Sometimes you just make stuff where the people already are.

I'm wary of putting all eggs under just one set of admins, on one server.

Star Trek did it. It's great to have a single dedicated spot. It's better to unify as we start up then split.

Thank you, but that is not what this post is for. These are our communities here as a part of this network and on .world

All the links for the network community are giving 404 error

[-] Brunbrun6766@lemmy.world 0 points 1 year ago

its all working on my end, tested in an incognito tab as well as other browsers too.

[-] 1chemistdown@kbin.social 0 points 1 year ago

I’m kbin.social and not lemmy. I still get a 404 error

[-] lensofmadness@kbin.social -2 points 1 year ago

The links use the Lemmy format /c/dnd... because Lemmy uses "communities." Kbin has "magazines" and therefore uses /m/anything. Just replace the 'c' with an 'm' and the links will take you to the right places.

"official" made me think Hasbro was coming to Lemmy, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

[-] Brunbrun6766@lemmy.world -1 points 1 year ago

Hell no, official to the /c/DnD Network

[-] Knitwear@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Hi, apologies but the top paragraph of links aren't working for me but the rest are, any ideas why?

[-] 07Chess@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Thank you for putting this all together into one spot. I just followed almost everything on the sidebar. A suggestion, though, you may get more traction if you make links that are usable for people using other lemmy instances and kbin. I had to manually search for everything to go subscribe to it.

Annoying to see that the same ghettoization of AI art is going on here as was on Reddit - AI art is forbidden from the "art" community, and lumped in over with the "AI" community that also handles every other kind of AI stuff. At this point it should be pretty clear that whether something is "AI" or not is not as relevant a division as what kind of AI thing it is.
