BreadTube is a place to check out left videos, discuss content from creators, and share memes and ideas.

Another Reddit refugee here

As the title says I’m looking for a community that deals with (noob?) questions about Lemmy itself

Where someone completely out of the loop asks about some current affairs and people try to summarise what's going on.

For example, right now I'm seeing a few Hillary memes and have no idea if there is something going on about her. OutOfTheLoop would have been the place to ask

I know there is a blender community somewhere. But I'm looking for communities that also give advice and talk about other software- such as, but not limited to, Zbrush, Unreal Engine, Houdini, Autodesk whatever, 3DSMax, Nuke, Substance, etc etc etc.

I've seen people across the fediverse (especially beehaw) being supportive of Blender and Davinci Resolve but no instances or communities dedicated to the 3D industry and VFX at large.

Paranormal, ghost photos, stories, scary encounters, anything along those lines. I used to frequent CreepyAskReddit.

Does anybody know of an equivalent to /r/menslib? I think a strong egalitarian community for men could easily become a cornerstone of the threadiverse.

Any r/engineering students community somewhere in the fediverse?

Why can I see thesims@lemmy.world while anonymous on Jerboa, but can't find the community while signed in on lemmygrad or lemm.ee? Are there any other communities about the Sims (4), Rimworld or Stardew Valley I can access from Lemmygrad or should I make them myself (I don't think I'm actually mod material though)?

Hey guys! I really enjoyed the Character Forge subreddit back on Reddit to see the neat and interesting characters everyone was developing.

https://kbin.social/m/Characterforge

I now created it here on Kbin. Come check it out too if you're interested in creating or seeing Original Characters!

A similar community to r/contagiouslaughter

I'll be posting my favorite videos, please come join in!

Looking for communities that look at self-reliance, prepping for SHTF, and homesteading/farming.

LemmyTips

Couldn't find a community with all the useful Lemmy related resources in one place, so I made one.
Feel free to share all the useful things related to Lemmy.

A community about conscious manifestation using the law of attraction/assumption
@findacommunity

Hi all.
I created a new community for this purpose, so if anyone is interested in this, you can find it here: lemmy.world/c/manifestation
or here: @manifestation

!egg_irl is a community for memes about being eggs (people who are trans but don't know it yet or deny it) and other trans topics.

You can find us by searching for https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/c/egg_irl or, if someone from your instance has already subscribed, by following this link.

If egg_irl is your cup of tea, you may also be interested in our sibling community, !traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns@lemmy.ca.

You can subscribe to this like any Lemmy community with the following:

!cs@kbin.social

startrek.website is a partnership between /r/StarTrek and /r/DaystromInstitute from Reddit, they've both locked their subs over there for good. Follow @startrek for all your Trek needs. 🖖 :trek:

I want to advertise my newly created community for fans of the TV show. Consider subscribing!

I would create the community but I don't know if my instance allows that (plus it is programming.dev which isn't very related to Stoicism).

The black out is ending, and a few subs are having discussions on whether to open up again. Why not use your old account and hop over and paste the direct link to your community in the replies to people that are supporting continuing the black out so that they know where to find alternatives.

Don't forget to check https://browse.feddit.de/ for the full list in case there already is a growing community that is a better alternative.

Let people know there is a home elsewhere if they want it.
