Anyone else feel that Thunder scrolling is not as smooth as other apps? (lemmy.ca)

So I've compared Thunder, Sync, and Voyager. They all report as running at 120fps on my pixel 8 pro, but only sync and voyager actually feel like it.

I'm not sure how to quantify or prove this, but there's a noticeable feel of microstutter when scrolling through feeds or comments on thunder.

Does anyone else experience this? Thunder is still my favourite of the 3 just because of it's functionality and features, but would love for it to feel a little better to navigate.

Hey there! Thanks for the feedback - I recently started to notice this as well so I've been putting more focus into improving overall performance and scrolling! This is still a big work in progress so it might take a while before all these improvements make it out into a release.

For a bit of background, most of my time developing Thunder has been through an iOS device (as that was the only device I had access to). On iOS, I would say the experience is generally pretty smooth. Only recently did I gain access to an Android device where I finally started to notice some of the stuttering that you're mentioning.

Oh hi! Thank you for the all work that you do. Like I said, Thunder is still my current favourite of the android clients.
