I’m finally making the switch from Reddit. The Voyager app seems like a pretty seamless transition, but I’d love to hear any tips about using this platform, or what quirks distinguish it from Reddit as a whole.

Under filters/blocks in the app I use (Boost) there's a section for blocked words. This is the list I have, and find it does a pretty good job:

  • Democrat
  • Democrats
  • Elon
  • Musk
  • Nazi
  • Putin
  • Republican
  • Republicans (need to add this one)
  • Russia
  • Tesla
  • Trump

That’s actually pretty cool you can run filters like that

Burying ones head in the sand really is easiest

People don't need to engage politically on every single platform they frequent. I've blocked a long list of political keywords, because 95% of the political content I see here is about a country I'm not from. Americans can scream at each other to their hearts' content without my being obligated to participate or even observe.
