Ok well here I go playing devils advocate again. There is a lot of discussions on trans issues on this site and there are more than a few times where I have seen transphobia being accepted by the instance. I stumbled across a post on grad that was quite literally saying that trans issues where invented by the bourgeoisie to incite conflict in the lower class and people were agreeing with the post.

I am not saying that it is everywhere and there are a lot of very accepting people but if you see enough posts like that in a short period of time it could very well colour your perception of lemmy negatively.

Oh im aware. Was simply trying to figure out how this person came to the conclusion.

Probably a waste of time because they are likely a troll (especially with the way that they talk about drag) but I do try and understand peoples hangups when they exist.
