It is satire. If they had said it was from Texas or Oklahoma, I would have believed it.

This came out in the wake of a different story, where Cobb County put stickers in the biology textbooks that warned that "evolution is just a theory." So yes, while satire, it's not as big of a stretch as it seems twenty (?!?) years later.

Damn I feel old.

As a bonus, I found a higher res version of the base image while trying to jog my memory.
