"use"..."net"...? I seem to have heard the term before, but it is as if that part of my memory has been formatted, almost redacted, countless of times...

I want to help you, friend, but I suggest you don't utter those words again, lest you find your memory wiped... Also you should google news about Astra or something like that, I've found astra to have the most complete news coverage ;-)

astraweb hasnt been their own thing for years. they sell the same thing (omicron backbone access) others sell for cheaper.

TBH it's been awhile since I used NNTP to download Linux images. Probably like 8 or 10 years. So I have no idea what's up these days. I think I used astra because headers didn't count in your quota, and I had my own indexer so I pulled a lot of headers. Funny how alt.binaries.linuximages and alt.binaries.erotica.amateur.realmoms.fetish.diapers didn't get indexed by the major free indexer at the time.
