Does it work as one controller, two controllers or nothing recognised at all?

I am trying to get a pair of joycon/3rd-party for better posture. 3rd party seems to have better ergonomic designs. Any good advice on a controller?

I am aware of some discussions online where binbok may or may not work, which is a mix message. Just trying to see if there are new insights on what had been tested or any good recommendations

Regular joycons function as 1 controller. Previously there wasn't a way to split them and use them as separate controllers, but I'm not sure if that's changed or not in the last year.

I've never tried 3rd-party joycons with my deck, I have a set of Kinvoca ones that I can try pairing later tonight and see if they work.

I think steamOS now has a toggle for combing as one for the first party controller, see here

I am interested to see if this is available for third party. Well, as long as a pair can be used as one it is great. Third parties’ have better grip and they allow better posture when gaming
