Prolewiki has a tiktok now (@prolewiki) and we need people to follow!

We're not on the wacky US tiktok so we might not have access to them. I don't think they share data.

Bytedance was forced to sell it to Oracle because of Trump's trade war with China. It was either that or close TikTok in the US entirely.

As far as I can tell they are now a completely independent TikTok, with their own content creators and community. I.e. you get a different experience if you open US tiktok than if you open rest of the world tiktok.

So there are three versions then: Chinese version (Douyin), US version and Intl. version?

From what I understand, yep, exactly. However the international version is still owned by Bytedance, who owns the chinese version as well.
