Por muito tempo tenho usado o duckduckgo e por algumas vezes já usei o Mojeek e o startpage também.

Eu uso DuckDuckGo pras pesquisas normais e Scholar Google para textos acadêmicos.

O libgen é bom para baixar o que você já que quer, mas ruim para pesquisar o que existe sobre o tema.
