Have you blocked any instances? I believe if you block an instance and get a reply or message from someone in that instance it shows the replay as an unread notification but hides the actual message/reply
Supper annoying
Never blocked an instance...and to be honest don't know how because haven't join any other instance besides lemmyworld. And I don't think I will.

yea and don't know why I got banned...but noone ever messaged me or replied to anything I posted. Also how the fuck did you find that?
