Using android keyboard users can easily search GIFs but get a notice the app doesn't support inserting them into comments. Would like to have this feature.

It seems that when using a PieFed instance Boost is doubling the vote value for posts

Piefed has the functionality for users to define hashtags for each individual post. For example This post has the hashtags #eu and #Chat Control.

Please include a field in Boost when writing a post to set these tags!

I scroll down and it keep crashing.

Boost has been giving me a generic "timeout" error after about 10 posts and stops loading posts in /all or /local.

Has anyone else been experiencing this and does does anyone have any tips to fix this?

When being logged in from a piefed account (piefed.ca) I will see the correct number of replies but only be able to view a portion of them when I expand them. This does not occur when using a Lemmy account.

I'm quite sure that there is a show up/downvote percentage setting somewhere in one of the various settings pages in boost for lemmy. But I struggle to find it again - It must be there, no? Google is of no help, as it mumbles something about a reddit app with the same name.

Could someone please point me to the right settings page? Or a link? Thanks

Anyone else have this problem? Boost works fine on my home WiFi but if I'm on data it fails to refresh and a floating error message says

Read error: ssl=0xb........... - - > message goes off screen

Get back to home WiFi and boost works again. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks

Currently, when using the user switcher by long-pressing the profile icon, you will be taken to the home feed after a switch.

Can an option be added to try to stay in the same location (community or post) after switching users? Though, I see the profile switcher is not currently available when viewing a post.

Use case: I have an account I use for most things, and an alt account I use for NSFW. It would be nice to be able to quickly swap over to the NSFW account after discovering a new community or seeing something I'd like to bookmark, without having to remember where it is/search for the content again after switching accounts.

While it's fantastic that user tagging is an option, I think it's missing two important features:

• Colored tags: this would help with categorizing users such as green meaning okay to interact with, and red for hostile users (for example).
• Source links to comments/posts for the original tag. This would help with checking exactly why a user was tagged. The tag itself could link to the related comment or post.

Boost is by far the most user friendly Lemmy app I've used, so thanks!

Anyone else getting the rate limit? I'm on the pro version, but getting the rate limit error even when I haven't opened boost up all day. The links work fine but comments will cause a 429 error. Seems to just started happening after the piefed update.

Is it possible?

Sometimes I need the blur (in public, for example) and sometimes it is a nuisance having to open every post to see the image.

Hi, I'm using Boost from Piefed and have noticed some weird stuff going on with URLs.

In Boost, this comment looks like this:

As you can see, the links are not complete and run into the first word of the next line.

This is coming from Mastodon and in Tusky it looks like this:

I wondered if this may be a Piefed problem, but in Piefed Web UI it looks like this:

Interestingly the links seem to be trunctuated at the same point as it is in Boost, though functual

G'day all. Been using Boost on Android for a while, pretty good, but the past 4-7 days, whenever I load All, it shows a page of posts, and on scrolling down it looks like it's requesting more posts, the loading bars go back and forth across the top, but no new posts load, and it finally gives a small toast popup saying "timedout".

Have tried stopping the app/restarting, restarting the phone. Also tried a different Lemmy client but I couldn't recreate the issue.

From searching, I've seen similar symptoms from a while ago, and also a post here in the last few days asking why there isn't 'infinite scroll' (assuming it's a similar issue/cause).

Sorry if I've missed a solution/update etc.

If I can test or supply anything else .... Lemmy know.

I feel like I'm missing something here as I've tried searching for this answer. But does boost have infinite scrolling? And can you select instances anywhere?

New post don't seem to be loading after a first few post when viewing via All. I can get around this by using the guest account but ofcourse can't interact with anything at that point.

Any reason I can't reply to comments. I can on the regular website, just not on boost.

Title, all comments have the lock symbol beside the usernames, and we're unable to reply to them. Making a top-level comment still works. Instance doesn't matter, it's the same for all of them. Pls fix, this is pretty much a broken app until then.

hi there so today i launch boost and get jumpscared by ads playing with sound on by default. i don't mind ads playing muted, but the default being sound on is incredibly infuriating. is this a bug?
