Rip in half until no longer recognizable, put remains in a toilet, piss on it, then flush. Proper disposal of a nazi flag.
But why?
Honestly, i think it's just much cooler to see the swastika torn in half.
Hard to tell for sure without seeing the flag up close or interviewing someone who worked on the movie, but I think I might see a bit of a seam that's been hidden in the flag to allow it to be torn more easily, straight down the middle. You don't want a tear going sideways and looking wonky at the most dramatic moment of the film.
