Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Sunday that the Trump campaign sent a birdcage and bird food to her hotel room, a day after former President Trump called her “birdbrain.”

In a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Haley posted a photo of a birdcage with a large bag of food, with a sign that said, “From: Trump Campaign.”

“After a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me at my hotel room… #PrettyPatheticTryAgain #YouJustMadeMyCaseForMe,” Haley said in her post.

Marc Caputo, a journalist with The Messenger, confirmed in a post on X that it was done by the Trump campaign. The Hill has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.

This isn't necessarily a Trump thing. The Republicans passed around tire gauges that said "Obama's foreign policy". This was after a townhall where someone asked Obama what an individual can do to help with dependency on oil. Obama said that making sure your tires are inflated to the recommended level can save on wasted gas.

Goddamned children.

Really saying the quiet part out loud by implying oil is part of our foreign policy and not "spreading democracy"

Real "leopards ate my face" material here.

All of these MAGA Republicans are a threat to the United States. They are universally awful people, and a cancer on our democracy.

Finally... the long anticipated Trump "presidential pivot"

She'll still vote for him though....

[–] nonailsleft@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

She'll say she voted for him

It is very satisfying when bad people fight among themselves.

And, being the birdbrain that she is, she goes and puts this in the fucking media, giving trump and his knuckle-draggers more meat. I swear, republicans are dumber than dogshit.

You should mail her a dog turd.

[–] markr@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago

And yet this craven opportunist continues to support Trump.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

I have no sympathy for these crocodile tears.

It's funny how many of Trump's own appointees he feels the need to deride. She's a birdbrain but he hired her to be UN ambassador. I guess he's not bringing his brightest.

Narcissists cannot tolerate smarter people around them, especially underlings.

Look upon mine field of fucks, and see that it is barren for any concern or sympathy for Nimarata Randhawa.

Jesus Christ, fucking boomers and their humor.

[–] GiddyGap@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

Let the Republicans tear each other apart. 🍿

[–] CobblerScholar@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

And were supposed to feel bad for her now? Fuck that

This is the best summary I could come up with:

“After a day of campaigning, this is the message waiting for me at my hotel room… #PrettyPatheticTryAgain #YouJustMadeMyCaseForMe,” Haley said in her post.

Marc Caputo, a journalist with The Messenger, confirmed in a post on X that it was done by the Trump campaign.

The post comes as Trump, the front-runner in the GOP primary campaign, has shifted his focus to target Haley, who served as his ambassador to the United Nations and as the former South Carolina governor.

Trump nicknamed Haley “birdbrain” in a post Friday, writing of Haley: “’I will never run against our great President,’ she said, ‘he has done an outstanding job.’ To which I responded, ‘How nice of you to say, Nikki,’ knowing full well that her words mean nothing.

She even came to Mar-a-Lago with her family, ‘bearing gifts.’ Anyway, Birdbrain doesn’t have the TALENT or TEMPERAMENT to do the job.

On Friday, Haley responded to the attack in a post on X, suggesting it showed her campaign’s momentum.
