yes I ve done it ^^
Arch Linux
The beloved lightweight distro
Enlighten us folks, what solved your problem?
not fixed yet, I ve ordered a dongle on galaxus, I ll get it tomorrow.
Might be a stupid answer if you've already done it but err...
sudo systemctl enable bluetooth
And restart. But that's just to get your Bluetooth on π
It's just that you seem to be talking about USB dongles so I wanted to start from the beginning of Bluetooth on Arch. Once upon a time...
If they do sudo systemctl enable --now bluetooth
they donβt have to restart
You shouldn't need multiple dongles for BT. Are you sure these device and dongle pairings aren't just Direct WiFi or Serial RF?
This one a proprietary but on window was able to connect without using the dongle
Can you give more info on the PC you're running this on? Model name/number, and the current kernel version you're on?
For adapters, checl out this list: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/bluetooth#known-working-high-performance-adapters
thanks, didnβt tough I ll get a list for hone assistant xD
Maybe I ll buy 2 one for my pc and one for my NAS
Its certainly not the first place i'd look for advice, but it does make sense, they do test a lot of hardware. Try avoid getting the absolute cheapest dongles, some of them are fake, and behave weirdly. They are usually tested just enough to work in windows, and nothing more, so they can struggle on linux if the linux driver does something unexpected.
I've had luck with an ASUS USB-BT500, but it really depends on if its legit or not, so good luck
