The Conservatives did not share a reason for why they dropped Singh, merely confirming that he was dropped as a candidate in a one-line email to CBC News.

I get that they don't want to provide fodder for the media in case there's something particularly egregious about this guy; but their unwillingness to engage with the media is shaping up to be a troubling pattern. If they're unwilling to be open and transparent now, why would anything change if elected?

This will probably be the only remotely positive thing I'll have to say about the CPC during this campaign, but good for them for taking out the trash.

And yeah, there's still a lot of trash left.
