Dame trade got Bucks this extension. And there goes Miami Heat's plans for the next 4 years lol

who will be Miami's next target? Embiid?

Most likely considering it's getting to be a shit show with Harden there.

Why does this look like a picture from a video game?

[–] maegul@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

It's a thing I'm seeing more and more often ... people thinking an image is from a video game ... and I think it's mildly interesting.

In this case ... it's a bad image ... open the file on its own and zoom in and it's a bit glitchy and plenty pixelated.

The interesting thing is I think we've got a generation brought up on video games who are well trained at spotting video game footage and assessing its quality etc, but, as a consequence, are now basically sensitive to a somewhat new illusion where imagery that is off in someway will look like video game footage to us rather than something that's just off or noisy/glitchy.

Makes sense with a player option. That’s their window before the assets dry up and Dame’s too old.

I really wasn't expecting this. Maybe I'm too low on Dame's and Lopez's abilities to evolve, but I have a hard time believing their window will last beyond 2025.

But I guess that doesn't matter when your salary is this high. Players like this realistically need to move via trade under the new CBA, and Giannis has already used his leverage so there's not much downside for him.

Wow.

Quite the signing from Giannis here.
