So what are the benefits dehydrated food? It's -1 for morale, which I guess is negligible in exchange for unlimited shelf life. The Rehydrator is relatively small and fits into a rocket. The rations can be stored in the new storage tiles, so it could just replace the fridge. I don't know if it's better than just using regular old berry sludge.
Freezing is generally better, but less energy efficient, I think? And it takes a lot more effort to set up the cooling system.
