I know that Thunder can filter the posts but only limited. It only hides the currently loaded ones and only on button press. You need to do it over and over. Is there an app that does it automatically?

Sync can even mark read on scroll.

Sync can mark read on scroll but can't automatically hide read content, you have to press a button to refresh with read content hidden. Would prefer automatic.

Yep. I'm currently stuck with nothing to scroll because I've scrolled it all and hidden it.

Strange, I thought that was a general Lemmy feature, as you can control that in the profile settings, which are shared between apps and web frontend. Jerboa and Liftoff do it. Only downside is that it also hides your own posts.

Summit for Lemmy.

My workflow is tap "Hide read" which will restrict only new content to show. Then I scroll for a while until I'm getting light on content. Then I refresh and tap "hide read" to surface new content and repeat.

Voyager can mark posts read on scroll, and hide read posts 👍
