I use anysoft keyb, and i really like how it can be configured, i just wish there was an option to make spacebar even longer, or move dot out of the way there because with my short right thumb i type dot instead of space like 80% of the time and that annoys me to no end.

Really would appreciate any ideas that could solve my problem.

I haven't switched over to a FOSS keyboard yet, but Florisboard seemed like one of the better ones. It might be perfect for you since it's very customizable

True, but people are still contributing. Development is just super slow it seems.

It works as is though, I have gotten used to not to have a working autocorrect, but I understand that might be a no for other people.

I use ASK regularly and I like it very much. So Ive searched and there is a way to widen the spacebar . It's in the theme select under "tweaks" You can also enlarge the buttons

I very much like Unexpected keyboard. It takes a bit of work, but you can completely change the layout, sizes of all buttons, and one button can contain multiple characters. You input all the extra ones by swiping from the key in a particular direction, which is very fast and convenient. Plus it has an easy access to input of many, many special characters, contains Ctrl, you can have gestures for copy/paste/undo and so on. But it doesn't have any predictions yet, you have to type everything out.

Look up Keyboard Designer in the Play Store.
