This is from Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling.

It is snipped from a full-page thing he does every now and then, where he parodies shitty newspaper comics. Having read a lot of these, I believe he really really hates these comics and this is how he hurts them.

"Marital Mirth" is a recurring boomer wifebad comic.

It's a parody of the long-running (and terrible, in my opinion) daily comic "The Lockhorns." It seems I've fallen afoul of Poe's Law.

Whether it's funny as parody is up to personal taste, but I can at least confirm that it is intended in that spirit of parody and satire.
