Beastie Boys - Sabotage
Take On Me because the rotoscoping work is amazing, and now more movies need to embrace it.
- closest movie: Cool World, which is basically an avant-garde music video of its own, with people transitioning between the 2D and 3D worlds
Turbo Killer because it has fast cars, violence, and Satanism
- closest movie: Rock and Rule, set in a furry cyberpunk dystopia "where magic and technology collide", featuring glowing pentagons and shiny (not as fast) cars
- second closest movie: Nicolas Cage's Mandy. Just wait for it...
Dude, Turbo Killer DID get turned into a movie!! Carpenter Brut & Seth Ickerman did a ~30 min followup to Turbo Killer called Blood Machines. The plot and acting are awful. But the aesthetics are really good.
I love me a movie that can carry itself through aesthetics alone!
Both are good choices. Take On Me would be an iconic 80's movie and Turbo Killer would be B-movie gold.

Sabotage by The Beastie Boys
and then Intergalactic
I want Childish Gambino's "This is America" to be the RNA of a musical. Glover, with the right support, could make a legendary piece of American performance art.
Interesting that you chose "RNA" for that phrase :)
Weapon of Choice.
Walken looks so powerful and wise, almost like an emperor.
Porter Robinson - SHELTER. I would love to see a full movie expanding on the animation.
agreed!
Hooooly shit you just took me back
Well, Tunak Tunak Tun of course.
Daft punk discovery series of music videos.
I've always thought of it as a movie, but yeah, longer with added dialogue and stuff. I have Stella tattooed on my arm, I'd LOVE to see some sort of remake/retelling of Interstella5555
This is pure comedy gold and i could watch a full movie about underground stuffed animal/puppet/Muppet pit fighting.
The song is okay too but I much prefer the cover by Within Temptations.
The trilogy of songs by The Lonely Island ft. Justin Timberlake.
Presidents of the United States of America - Peaches. Who wouldn't want to see a musical comedy with ninjas?

I want at least a miniseries about the Starlight Brigade, from the music video Starlight Brigade - TWRP
Or a movie about the world/characters from Magnum Bullets - Night Runner
I was just reading something recently where either Dan or somebody from TWRP said that they actually tried to pitch Starlight Brigade as an animated series, but were never able to get it off the ground beyond just a music video.
Which is a real shame, because I love the design to Starlight Brigade. I would've loved to have seen what the fully-realized project could've looked like.
100% agree. It's one of those songs that if I hear it or think of it, I HAVE to look up the video and watch it all over again.
Meatloaf - I would do anything for love
But unfortunately they won't do that
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Alternatively: Foo Fighters - Lear to Fly
I'd take a new tenacious d movie any day. My vote is for learn to fly as well

Learn to fly, foo fighters
Within, daft punk
Tanha Dil, Shaan
Rooster, Alice in Chains
It's cheating since it's already been done, but Edgar Wright expanded Mint Royale - Blue Song into Baby Driver.
Huh, TIL! I very much enjoyed Baby Driver.
Knights of Cydonia - Muse
Come to Daddy - Aphex Twin
Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy. I felt even the directors cut was a bit rushed and left several unresolved themes.
Bad motherfucker by biting elbows.
Oh wait they did, it's Hardcore Henry
Wow... Very colorful
The Safety Dance. Excluding the origin story (of the song), what’s the story behind the video. It looks like some kind of fantasy medieval-esque festival.
