No, because the US will veto their membership since it's on the UN Security Council, which has the final say.

The cruelty is the point.

This won't succeed because of the U.S. being on the Security Council, but this the best the rest of the world can do, I suppose.

It's worth noting that the UN has recognized the right of Palestinian self-determination since the 1970s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_General_Assembly_Resolution_3236

Also the UK would never let it pass either. But were basically just the US' second vote on the council at this point
