I'm pretty sure I understand what the red one is, but what's the other supposed to represent?

Glenda, plan9 mascot

The one on the right is a deep-cut reference to the time OpenBSD's mascot was a red daemon with a halo.

Wait, it isn't anymore?

We know Glenda who is with Cirno is descendant of the original Glenda.

Is the humanoid Glenda the original? Another descendant? Or simply the spirit of the plan9 machine?

uhhhh...

No wait, I got it. It's just a plan9 user, as is seen with Nine, using 9 turns you into a rabbit.

Everything is under control. There are no plot holes.

Its not a ~~bug~~ plothole, its ~~a feature~~ deeplore

I was already wondering how the rabbit and 9 were related to this and this makes perfect sense now.

I suppose the rumors that Cirno is actually the machine spirit just became more credible as she is appears immune to the rabbitization.

I like to imagine this picture is from the ancient times, long before the GovCorp and the Wars, when there were many free fish and rabbits and daemons and other critters and some computers were free and everyone was just as miserable as we are today.

At least I was correct that the red one was some form of BSD. Gonna have to look up plan9, though. Don't think I've heard of that one.
