The apartment blocks - two of perhaps a hundred - are surrounded by open greenery, wide walkways and dense tram networks. Most of them have café bars, bookstores, grocery stores or the like on the ground level and loads of benches, play areas and exercise equipment dotted about. The place is rife with Third Places.
The remarkable thing about these is that, to the locals, they seem fairly unremarkable.
Kailashanathar temple is a Hindu temple building in 7 century CE, in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, as Lord of Kailasha.
This is currently my favorite bridge I’ve ever drove across. Everything from the lights to support cables on this is spectacular. From what I’ve heard, there is a sister bridge that also crosses the Ohio River in Wheeling West Virginia but I haven’t gotten there yet.
That’s a pretty nice room to play a piano.
