On some things the UK is progressive, on other issues, like sustainable transport, they see it as antisocial behaviour.

Tilting electric three-wheelers may be fun and agile, but they're generally still not as safe to drive as good ol' four-wheeled cars. The Kairos EV could change that, as it features not one but two unique safety systems.

Czech company UDX is flying scale prototypes of a tandem 2-up eVTOL it calls Airwolf. With individually-tilting ducted fan propulsion, it's got enough wing surface for efficient cruise flight as well as agile movement from a hover.

So about a year ago I bought a cheap eScooter after selling my stupid car, and I've had a pretty good time! I live within 2 miles of my doctor, my dentist, a bunch of grocery stores, and even my mom AND my grandma!

The only problem is despite it advertising 12 mile range, it only goes about 4 before dying. I kind of expected it because it's under $300.

I weigh 130 pounds so I don't think that's impacting it.

While I just uber whenever I need to go further 1-2 times a month, would be nice to have closer to 10 miles if I want to run multiple errands in a row. Any eScooters that actually have good range and are under $500?

The Hitway BK6M.The main reason was price. I got it for $999.00 CAD. It was also the quickest shipper from amazon arriving by this Friday. everyone else was minimum July 4 or longer.

I was sorely tempted to get the Wildeway FW11S due to it's 32AH sized battery. but the battery weighs almost 20lbs by itself. I am going to be buying extra batteries for longer range, and the most I could carry would be 1 extra with the Wildeway. where for the same weight with the Hitway's battery I could get 3 extra. so I could carry 80AH's with me VS only 64AH with the Wildeway.

I am looking forward to going out and riding. I have been stuck in this house for so long I'm going stir crazy. I will get back to you and let you folks know how it's going.

I am going to make my purchase this Wednesday. And a late addition to the fold is an electric scooter.

Now why I am considering an electric scooter, is I live in Vancouver's downtown east side. It's basically where hopes and dreams go to die. so It's not the nicest neighborhood. and I am worried about theft. a scooter would be alot more easily secured. I could basically take it inside with me wherever I go. And it's alot easier to take it on transit. Plus the ones I'm looking at have a supposed range or 60+ Km's but even if I only got half that It would be good.

The only downside is no swappable battery which you get with most e-bikes.

So which would you choose? e-bike or scooter?

New research shows lifelong bikers have healthier knees, less pain and a longer lifespan, compared to people who've never biked. This adds to the evidence that cycling promotes healthy aging.

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
