When Hollywood’s writers and actors went on strike last year, it was, in part, because of AI. Actors didn’t care for the notion that their likenesses could be used without their permission, whether by the studios that hired them that week or by someone at home with a computer in 2040. Writers didn’t want to do punch-ups on potentially crummy AI scripts or have their words (or ideas) cannibalized by large language models that didn’t pay them a dime.

But while some Hollywood filmmakers came out of the strikes fearful of how AI might wreck their industries, others wanted to learn more. This week, many of those filmmakers gathered in a movie theater in Culver City, California, for the inaugural Culver Cup, a generative-AI film competition sponsored by FBRC.AI and Amazon Web Services.

In the beginning of season 3 why is Matt running around in the black suit? He survived the fight at the end of S2. I understand he's hiding out and healing up with the church, but what happened to his DD suit?

https://iceandfire.fandom.com/wiki/Shae

Doing a rewatch of game of thrones, first time, and I'm thinking about Shae's arc.

She starts as a camp follower for a Lannister knight, gets poached into the service of Tyrion, follows him into the capital. Becomes a persistent force in his life, wont leave the city despite multiple threats on her life... Eventually Tyrion forces her onto a boat to flee the capital... and she "somehow" returns for Tyrion's regicide trial, only to end up in the bed of Tyrion's father... When Tyrian finds her there, she attempts to kill him.

This is my understanding of her Arc, and I'm confused by her motivations.

  1. Why did she come back to the capital despite being safely away?
  2. Why try to kill Tyrion when discovered in his father's bed?
  3. If her motivation was just money, why not take the nice retirement offered to her three times?
  4. If she loved Tyrion, why try to kill him at all, why come back to the capital and appear in his trial?

The ending of the second season finale has some fans in a fire-breathing uproar: "Great episode, but it had no business being a 'HOTD' finale."

I recently kept getting advertised Loudermilk on Netflix. I'd see the initial trailer that they play and wasn't intrigued. I then sat down for lunch and wanted something to watch, I decided to give it a go and after the first couple of episodes I was hooked. I finished season 3 and it was such a fun show to watch. Unfortunately I see the studio that created it has been shuttered. What's the likelihood this show will ever be picked up again?
