The objective of this Lemmy community is maximize the number of New York Times articles non-subscribers can read via the gift article feature provided to subscribers. If two people create gift links for the same article, one is basically wasted, so check here in case the article you want to share already has a gift link.

New York Times gift articles automatically expire after 30 days.

Tämän Lemmy-yhteisön tavoitteena on maksimoida se määrä New York Timesin artikkeleita, joita ei-tilaajat voivat lukea hyödyntämällä tilaajille tarjottua lahja-artikkelitoimintoa. Jos kaksi henkilöä luo lahjalinkkejä samasta artikkelista, toinen on käytännössä hukkaan heitetty, joten tarkista täältä, jos haluat jakaa artikkelin, jolla on jo lahjalinkki.

New York Timesin lahja-artikkelit vanhenevat automaattisesti 30 päivän kuluttua.

Edit: Note that links will not be removed.

I'll note that the NYT put on the event and invited this charlatan to speak at it

Earlier this month, a detective knocked on Shavon Harvey’s door, in suburban Ohio, to ask about her son. The son had sent a Snapchat message from her phone to his friends, saying there would be shootings at several schools nearby.

She rushed to the police station, where her son was already in custody, but the police did not release him. He was charged with inducing panic, a second-degree felony, and officials kept him in detention for 10 nights.

He is 10.

I'll note that the NYT changed the headline from

Harris Reiterates Support for Ending Filibuster to Protect Aboriton Rights

to

Manchin Won’t Endorse Harris After Her Call to End Filibuster Over Abortion Rights

An archived copy of the article from before the change emphasizes her position, rather than the opposition from Manchin.

I'll note that the NYT changed the title from "Putin is Hunting Down Ordinary People" to "Putin Is Doing Something Almost Nobody Is Noticing"

We don’t need to speculate about how his proposal, such as it is, would work, because we’ve seen this movie; that’s exactly how health insurance worked before Obamacare went into effect in 2014, after which insurers were prevented from discriminating based on medical history. Under the pre-Obamacare system, insurers often refused to cover Americans with pre-existing health conditions or required that they pay very high premiums — which meant that they effectively denied health care, in many instances, those who needed it most.
