You can seem 1 foot shorter or taller and can appear heavier or lighter. You must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs as you have. Otherwise, the extent of the illusion is up to you.
Personally, I'm a big fan of the 'useless magic item' and try to get one to each of my players. Lots of them are cosmetic: helmets with glowing eyes, cloak of billowing, squeaky shoes. Everyone loves them. They are fun to build and fun to use. I gave a ring of invisibility that can turn the ring invisible only. Great fun
