Batman routinely beats the snot out of Gotham thugs.™️ Thousands of them. Broken limbs, noses, chins and ribs are routine in a standard Batman beatdown.

IRL that would amount to a significant loss of life: TBIs or systemic shock that could shorten a window of medical stabilization from minutes to seconds to SOL because Batman's fists gave the poor sod a brain hemorrhage and killed him instantly.

Batman is in denial and has a team of lawyers to bury his incidents of homicide / manslaughter.
