According to dictionary.com, this is not a word itself. It has no definition and instead it is used as part of compound words. BS from NYT in my opinion.spoiler
In both Merriam-Webster and Collins, it's listed as a standalone adjective. What I'm really surprised about is that the verb form isn't listed, because it has been used as a verb for over 25 years now.Agreed. Think we've seen this before
