“Wei Wu” has an avatar that looks like it was AI generated, not to mention they’re verified on twitter and they talk exactly like a western person doing a Chinese caricature. Seems fake too me.
Yeah, this feels like an op to me, too. I've seen a LOT of negative stuff about China over the past 72 hours or so. Like suspiciously boosted on Reddit (mostly) and Lemmy (less so). No proof, but anecdotally, it seems like much more than normal, and current events make it extra sus.
I'm going to travel china for it's history anyway fuck western propaganda
Of course. It's a bit like the "feminist" sockpuppet accounts that say absurd things to turn people against feminism.
I hate culture wars and disinformation.
Yeah, also Robyn with a "y" playing the part of an SJW getting smacked down really feels like angry grandpa fantasy to me
Explain how you think Robyn is getting "smacked down"
Probably bad phrasing on my part, I don't agree with what I'm seeing as the underlying message of this meme but the way it's structured makes Robyn the intended butt of the punchline imo
Now just an ai avatar, but a really bad one if you zoom in on it
