I do think we should retire maybe later kiddo. That video was annoying as hell for sure but they're a relentless advocate for Palestine now and have basically fully dropped the Dems.

I have mixed feelings on this, I don't know how to format this coherently sorry, but I am interested to hear what people think about this.

I think it is pretty reasonable to extend grace to someone who has changed.

At the same time some of this is (like art) something that exists independent of the creator at this point .

I only know anything at all about them because people on this site mention they've changed since that video. That's great, but I also feel that tracking people/posters to determine whether you can reference stuff is not a reasonable behavior in a number of ways.

I think if were doing the whole solidary thing, we should remove the emoji. Continuing to use the emoji after they have changed is a good way to alienate them, us, or both. One of the tags you can use to search it is 'fascist'.

I say that not because I ever think they'll find this site and discover we have an emoji of their face, but to establish a kind of protocol to ensure we don't repeat offend. I don't know. It just seems like the right move.

And I haven't looked them up to confirm their stance, but I'll take it on faith for now.

Removing the emoji in general and certainly the tag seems reasonable to me. I know the emojis are fun but I think they inherently lend themselves to bad faith communication
